Kulzer Charisma Smart Composite Kit 4 Syringe Combi Kit
Overview
The Charisma Smart Composite Kit is a light-curing, radio-opaque submicron-hybrid composite (Microglass®), ideal for adhesively bonded, tooth-colored restorations. It is suitable for both anterior and posterior applications.
Note: Dental materials are free from Bisphenol-A.
Composition
- Matrix: BIS-GMA
- Filler Content: Approximately 59% by volume
- Particle Size: 0.005 – 10 μm
- Components: Barium Aluminum Fluoride glass, highly dispersive silicon dioxide
Indications
- Direct restoration of Class I – V cavities (G.V. Black)
- Shape corrections of teeth (diastemas, congenital defects)
- Splinting of teeth loosened by trauma or periodontal disease
- Restoration of primary teeth
- Repairs of porcelain and composite (with an appropriate repair system)

- Light Intensity: Use LED curing light (e.g., Kulzer Translux®) or any blue-light unit (wavelength: 460 – 470 nm; light output: 1550 – 550 mW/cm²).

Instructions:
- Follow recommended curing times for optimal restoration quality.
- Avoid premature curing by turning off overhead light during large restorations.
- Relieve internal pressure on syringes after application, and cap after each use.
Storage
- Keep out of direct sunlight.
- Store below 25°C (77°F).
- Do not use past the expiration date; quote batch number and expiry in all correspondence.
Contraindications
- Avoid application close to the pulp (less than 1 mm).
- Do not use with known allergies to any constituents of Charisma Smart.
- Contraindicated for known or suspected allergies to (meth)acrylate compounds.
Side Effects
May cause hypersensitive reactions. Consult the manufacturer for ingredient information if needed.
Precautions
- Skin Contact: Avoid contact. Wear protective gloves. If contact occurs, wash immediately with soap and water.
- Eye Contact: Rinse thoroughly with water and consult an ophthalmologist if contact occurs.
- For deep cavity preparations close to the pulp, cover with a calcium hydroxide liner and glass ionomer cement before applying adhesive.
- Avoid materials containing eugenol, thymol, or phenol, as they may interfere with curing.
- Protect syringes from contamination; do not reuse after contamination.
- Composites should be used at room temperature.
